I was reading some article saying DELL was scraping plans to outsource more of its operations to India about 2 days ago but can't remember where. And now this piece below says they are doubling those numbers. Pretty weird and that goes to show you that you can't believe everything you read on the internet.
In the next three years, Dell plans to double the number of its employees in India to 20,000, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal that quotes Michael Dell.
It appears, says the Journal, that the world’s largest personal computer maker is beefing up its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
Most of the new hiring will be made at the company’s call centers. However, there will also be substantial recruitment at its product testing center and a possible manufacturing plant, the Journal reports.
