Are Naked Home-based workers more productive ?
While we're talking dirty: more than half the women don't shower on work-at-home days and men are even worse, with only about one in three washing. As for me..I get really busy into blogging sometimes and forget to brush my teeth and skip my breakfast. And so who said blogging was an easy job ? Sometimes, I work 8 hours at my full time job and spend another 4 hours blogging. That happens when you have a big mortgage and big credit card debts to clear off.
Security vendor SonicWALL recently released results of a survey on home-based workers that received wide coverage in the press. However, only Network World got the lead right:
One in eight male teleworkers and one in 14 female teleworkers say they do their jobs in the nude, according to a new survey on the habits of remote and mobile workers worldwide.
Of course, the flip side of that last item is 20% of home-based workers have "lost it" with support staff. The real question is, what percentage of them were naked?
Other findings:
* 18% of men find time to do household tasks while on the clock.
* 28% of respondents say they watch TV while on the job.
* 9% said they feel guilty sometimes about being away from the main office.
