Getting free wifi at the airport may be something that's quite common nowadays but wait till you read how Wimax can be found on a train in the UK. T-Mobile's service, installed on Southern Trains' Brighton Express by wireless specialist Nomad Digital is something that's really dandy for travellers like me and I really would not mind paying a premium price if it can get can connected.
I'm sitting here in Torp airport (Norway) with free a wireless network connection (thank you Torp for using it as a condiment not a condem!) on my way to Cebit as a guest of Deutsche Telekom and I thought I would play "Where in the World is James Enck (aka Waldo, if you know the kids game).
So, I call James using Skype and he too is traveling but on a pre-WiMax enabled train! Our Skype video conference is perfect and the feeling of "how powerful IP technology and services can be" become very obvious.
