Lets be serious. How many of you can tell the difference between all this video formats - .3gp, .3gp2, .avi, .dv, .mpg, .mpg4, .mov .mqv, .wmv, .asf. My Casio Exilim S600 encodes video in Avi format and I always wish I can find one digital camera that can do smaller Divx files. After that I’ll need to upload them to my PC and figure out where to publish it online. Sure there are lots of places to keep the video files but I found out that the VideoEgg Publisher makes sharing videos easier. I'll just call it a Web 2.0 Video Sharing service for now.
The VideoEgg Publisher is a small browser plug-in that makes it easy for users to capture, encode, upload, and share online video. Sometimes described as a browser-based "universal video adapter," the VideoEgg Publisher reads dozens of video file formats and captures video directly from camcorders, Web cams, and mobile phones.
Videos posted with the VideoEgg Publisher are uploaded to the VideoEgg Server Network, a geographically distributed network of 18,000 servers powered by Akamai Technologies. Uploaded videos are immediately available for viewing through the Flash-based VideoEgg Player, which does not require external player software like Windows Media or QuickTime.
