U.S. cable giant, Comcast has recently announced a new feature called “PowerBoost” that will temporarily double the bandwidth of broadband internet connections when customers really need it. Now that's pretty nifty and I would like that seen over here in Malaysia.
PowerBoost will automatically kick in whenever a large file (like a song or video clip) is being downloaded. This free goodie has been added to all 6 Mbps and 8 Mbps broadband subscriptions in the New England states, and will be extended to several other markets by the end of this year and, when available, increase speeds to 12Mbps and 16Mbps.
