I've been hearing about Infosys a lot this past few days. Infosys Technologies Ltd.is India's second-biggest software company. Right now, Malaysia has a delegation headed by our Deputy Prime Minister, Najib Abdul Razak over there in India to discuss on future partnerships and joint ventures. Infosys, with a market value of $17 billion, will add 25,000 employees this year alone while hitting eye-popping growth targets.I really envy Infosys as they seem to have a lot of things implemented and running smoothly right now. Too bad Malaysia has failed to leverage on that since there seems to be a lot of red tape in the Malaysian bureaucracy. We seriously need to buck up.
This was affirmed in three days by N.R. Narayana Murthy, the chairman of India's Infosys Technologies Ltd, which employs over 50,000 employees worldwide. Infosys, which has wanted to invest in Malaysia six years ago, is frustrated with the bureaucracy in our country and had bypassed Malaysia to set up an office in Mauritius instead.
