The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has deemed 2 Lexar USB drives as a "Burn Hazard" and ordered it to be returned to Lexar. The product recall involves 66000 Lexar JumpDrive FireFLy and 1GB Secure II drives which could overheat and pose burn risks, although there are no reports on its yet. The specific models include the Firefly 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB models as well as the Lexar 1GB Secure II. Looks like Lexar will need to change its website motto to something less incongruous - "Pictures. Data. Music. If it's important to you, it's safe with us".
