The folks down at google had more than a mouthful of pizzas when Cambrian House showed up at the internet search facility with more than a thousand pizzas in tow. June 30 was Google's so called un-official "Google Day". I believe companies should incorporate more days such as these, turn all of their staff into cholesterol-laiden employees. Fat. But productive...Its not good to be working on an empty stomach ;)I guess its Cambrian House way of blowing their horn after inducting Google into their spanking new National Viking Association. With all due good intentions, Cambrian House decided to surprise google and came in un-announce and with pizzas in hand. Although everybody had their piece of pizza, the cambrian guys were promptly escorted out of the complex once security had finished eating their share. Pizza fight?? Either google is turning on a high nose on Cambrian house or they were just plain ignorant. To end the event graciously, the Cambrian guys reported that they had a fun filled day serving google and after that getting served by security.
Cambrian House launched its crowdsourcing site last 2 weeks with the intention of creating a meeting place for like minded individuals to contribute ideas,codes,etc in an effort to commercialese software. A reported 1500 members signed up with Cambrian House even before the website was launched. The numbers consists of mainly people from their network of developers. Currently they are aiming for 10000 members to sign up and 1000 new idea submissions after their first week. All in all, it was a great effort by Cambrian House and I wish them the best of luck.
