Persuade your friends to switch over to the popular browser, Firefox by September 15, 2006 and you will have your name displayed on Firefox 2.0, the latest version of the browser, which is slated for final released by the end of the year.
All the submitted names will be displayed on an interactive Firefox friends display. Mozilla touted the name check idea on July 15 in order to mark the anniversary of the creation of the Mozilla Foundation. After it floated three years ago Mozilla has gained a fair market share for Firefox, which is deemed as the more secure browser. Microsoft's Internet Explorer continues to dominate the market, but Firefox has gained steadily and the variety of bugs that strike IE regularly have forced users to shift to Firefox.
