The new Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 RC Release is already out and now let's look at some interesting stats on Firefox's market stats. Firefox's current 12.93 percent market share is up from 11.51 percent in November 2005, while Internet Explorer is down almost 2.5 percentage points. In the US, IE has dipped below the 80 percent mark, down to 79.78 percent, while Firefox has 15.82 percent of the market. Looks like Firefox as an open source alternative to the Internet Explorer is doing well and they've probably some new user since the World Cup.Amsterdam based analytics firm OneStat is reporting that Firefox has captured a worldwide market share of nearly 13%, up from 8.7% in April 2005. There are some surprising country-by-country statistics included in the report as well. Firefox usage in the U.S. stands at 16%. Australia, 24%. And in Germany Firefox commands a whopping 39% market share.
