Financial sites means big business nowadays and with so many competition like Digg, Netscape and Google heating up the Internet, Yahoo does not want to feel left out. Yahoo Finance is getting a facelift today with new interactive stock charts, improved message boards and business-related video clips from content partners. In addition, Yahoo is offering Internet publishers the ability to easily add a stock chart, quotes and news headlines to their Web site, while possible earning revenues via its Publisher Program that's currently for USA users only.
The new Yahoo Finance beta site features a full-screen application that allows users to add events like whether a company has had stock splits or dividends with one click, see competitor charts and click and drag to customize a chart's time range, as well as type in specific dates.
Yahoo Finance message boards also will provide more information on postings, the ability to rate messages, and to sort and filter messages based on ratings. They will also feature videos on business and finance-related topics from partners including ABC.com, CNN.com, Forbes.com and SmartMoney.
