Stocking up on IT Certificates

Back in the 1990s, if you had a string of IT certificates on your business1redhat-09.jpg card, it would mean an endless stream of Zeros in your bank account. Well, it’s the new millennium now and soft skills coupled with other relevant experience could be deemed more important compared with having only paper qualifications.

Check out this article at ZDNET Australia where it deals with the issue of whether
experience or certification is more important? It explores the role skills-based paper-qualification that helps in enhancing one's IT career and salary pay. They also highlight the Top 10 Tech Jobs of 2006 and its no surprised that SAP, Oracle and Peoplesoft specialists command salaries of $110 - $130K per annum. Its also the same over in and other countries as well as this experts are hard to find in the market as they don’t move much since they are paid well.
