What ? Another battery recall and this time we welcome IBM and Lenovo to the "Exploding Battery Club". And I thought that this whole charade will end with the recall done by Toshiba, Panasonic, Dell and Apple. I have sadly misjudged the propensity of this matter. This time around, IBM and Lenovo is having a USA recall for 168,500 battery packs and 375,500 batteries sold worldwide. I guess that recent exploding IBM Thinkpad at the LAX airport have not been thrown out of proportion and this is a serious matter. At least the users don't have to pay a cent to replace them.
