Microsoft MSN Chat Gets the Boot

Looks like MSN Chat has been dying a slow death amidst other interesting social sites and instead of wasting precious bandwidth formsnchatHM_p_chat2_180x150_0804.gif it, they are shutting it down and concentrating on their Live services. MSN Chat service will stop on October 18th, 2006.

The Redmond Company has quietly announced that it will be shutting down the MSN Chat Webpage and the afferent services. While trying not to make the news, Microsoft only has posted this information on the actual site, addressing the MSN Chat users explicitly. And while the underlying reasons behind the decision were not officially made public by the Redmond Company, two speculative scenarios have risen to provide an explanation.

Good. They should have done this long ago. I appreciate the new live services they are offering...very much advantageous.
