
Jessica Robinson, area sales manager for small and medium business at Cisco gives us a refresher course on the security risks when
accessing the internet for business....She says that IT admins must take heed in installing the latest security patches on the servers and any devices connected to the network including mobile devices.
She also states that Cisco has introduced a bundled office-in-a-box network solution that incorporates a switch, router, firewall and wireless access point, she says. It includes a content engine that caches frequently accessed content near to the users, for example at branch level, to save repeatedly transmitting data across the network.
I think other than all the above, users must also be educated on the proper IT usage and not simply open unknown attachments in emails too...
