In an agreement that ends the patent infringement accusation towards Toshiba made by Lexar, Toshiba will purchase and take over the patents said which includes Micron's NAND memory patents. Toshiba was also accused of using Lexar's trade secrets and a violation of trustee duty claims. The agreed agenda will settle every litigation between Toshiba and Lexar, and will dismiss the case currently in the California District Court. In a statement made by the CEO of Toshiba Semiconductor Co., the company is pleased to come to a truce and they will look forward to partnering with Micron to create a brighter and more rapid future for the development of NAND flash memory.
