Getting iCal calendars on Google Calendar
Found this ingenious method of getting iCal calendars on Google Calendar. Why would someone wanna do that? The geek factor I guess:) In the process I've also accidentally published my calendar on iCalExchange.

The iCal Exchange was created to give the Internet community an easy way to publishical3.jpg their calendars using the built-in "Publish to a web server" mechanism.

You can publish your calendars here for free. When you share your calendar URLs, visitors will be able to download the .ics file, and even view your calendar through a Web browser. Ordinary WebDAV servers do not have this capability. In addition, we will have advanced features like password-protection for individual calendars.

I use iCal Exchange (www.icalx.com) and it's great. It has the great bonus of being able to have password protected (called private) calendars. You can also have public calendars that are wide open. Very useful!

I like using iCal Exchange because it is free, but if you want multiple passwords so people can subscribe to your private calendar without having your main account password, there is a $1 per month fee. There also appears to be plans to showcase some of the public calendars later. One other good feature of iCal Exchange is that it works with iCal and the Mozilla calendar feature, so you can share a calendar from an iMac with someone using Windows.
