I have just used "Google Docs and Spreadsheets" for the first time, and to say I am impressed would be a major understatement. The days of saving my Word Documents and Excel Spreadsheets to a zip drive, or emailing them to my email address is over! Now, I can type a letter or update a spreadsheet from my favorite coffee hangout, the library or even work, save it online, and go home and bring it back up in my browser without any of the hassle of downloading and then repeating the process over again. And the best part may be that I can share the documents with any of my friends and colleagues by sending them to a link.
