Google's Click-to-Call project Still On

Don't you just hate it when hot pieces of news seem to cut you off at times. Our earlier post on Google Calls off its Click-to-Call project needs to be rewritten as its seems the blog post over at Google's Blog was a fake. A bug in Blogger (sucks) allowed an unauthorized person to post that crap up. If I know who that person is, I'll smack them in the face. Thanks to Om Malik for the updates below:

The Google Click-to-Call is not cancelled, a Google spokesperson just let us know. (They have added the statement on their blog as well1.)

A bug in Blogger enabled an unauthorized user to make a fake post on the Google Blog claiming that we have discontinued our AdWords click-to-call test. The bug was fixed quickly and the post removed. Our click-to-call test is progressing on schedule and we are pleased with the results thus far.
