Google Inc., racing to head off a media industry backlash over its video Web site YouTube, will soon offer anti-piracy technologies to help all copyright holders thwart unauthorized video sharing, its chief executive said on Wednesday. "We are definitely committed to (offering copyright protection technologies)," Google Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt said in an interview. "It is one of the company's highest priorities," he said. This may be the answer for Google fight and problem in handling pirated videos that are uploaded into YouTube. Google purchase of YouTube seems to be a bad choice considering the amount of problem that arises. Mainly problems come from pirated and copyright issues. Google must be hoping that this new technology will solve its problems once and for all. "These matters are very complicated and we are working with our partners to identify and solve these problems," YouTube said in an e-mailed statement issued last week.
