Congratulations to Digg, which announced that they’ve had a million accounts registered at the site. This is a 5x increase year over year. In March 2006 they had just 200,000 registered users. In March 2005, less than 50,000. This is good news. It’s an excellent increase from last years figure. It just shows how much people are interested in Digg and its content. It also shows commitment and trust to the site. I like the concept of Digg. In today’s world, people simply do not have the time to look through long articles and would love to find short news that they can look through just to keep themself updated. That is why RSS feed are so popular. Digg provides users with short and summarize articles of news on their site which takes only a few minutes to read through. They may be facing challenges from other competitor like MySpace in the second half of this year.
