“Amanda Lee of Cambridge received a call from Comcast Corp in December ordering her to curtail her Web use or lose her high-speed Internet connection for a year.” This was what happen to one of the internet user. What is the use of providing high speed internet when you cannot afford to provide user with the best quality to the point where you have to call users up to warn them to limit their usage? It just makes the service provider a laughing stock by showing how incompetent they are. A service provider should make sure and expect that this will happen and have plans to cope with it rather than calling user up and warn them. That is simply outrageous. It is the user right to do what he or she likes with the connection speed that he or she has. The service provider might consider offering basic dial up instead if they cannot cope with the extra bandwidth.
