Digitizing History

With everything going digital today, there is a need to digitize our history. Traditional storage of books, media and pictures stored on papers and film strips as well as photograph will fade. Naturally it will degrade itself. It is a time to move everything digitally in which digital information will remain the same after years and years. There will no longer be a need for huge archives to store all this information as all can be stored in several harddisk drives. Things are really changing now. Digitizing will also save cost of thousands and thousands spent every year to preserve historical books and papers. The best solution will be to transfer everything into the digital world like Google Book Search. A harddrive with 500 GB capacity can store information contained in a whole room fill with books. What else can someone ask for? The only concern might be piracy. Someone might hack into the system and steal valuable information.
