Effective news article design.

Jakob Nielson conducted a research on eyetracking to help online editors pinpoint what user look at the most. He concluded that a well organize text and page is very much more attractive to user rather than jumble up text. User can fix their focus on certain area rather than looking around the screen. The test will help web editor on how to arrange contents on their site. User may find it frustrating to look long at a certain site as it is a waste of time. The research also suggests ways to organize text so that it will be easy for user to read and takes less time. Basically I do not see a need for such a research as it is more or less common sense. Splitting up text into paragraphs and point forms will be more beneficial than having everything in one paragraph which is very confusing.
