Google has denied that it is developing mobile phones but they added that they are more interested in forming partnership with existing mobile phone manufacturers. At the moment Google is more focused on software market and has yet to change their focus. The rumour come with with Google offering technologies for mobile users which leads to rumours that Google is planning to launch its own mobile device. The mobile segment is crowded with Apple coming in with its iPhone. Google has made a deal with Samsung resulting in its search software being embedded on certain models. They are trying to get into mobile advertisement segment by reaching to those who does not have access to the internet. This will be a new and challenging new front for Google. Although it now dominates the mobile search segment, Yahoo is rising up pretty fast and can pose a credible threat to Google. It might be possible for Google to develop its own mobile device in the future.
