If you are listening to music a lot you will know what playlist shuffle means-playing songs in the playlist at a random. Some might have realize this, some might not, playing song at a random is not very much random even on computers. Apple iTunes is facing the same problem. It can be seen that it prefers certain artist or songs. Some of the songs are never played. There are a number of user complaining about the shuffle function already. Maybe this has something to do with the algorithm of the system calculating probability. When the system is calculating at random it is not random at all. If you proceed to write a simple software for the system to produce a random number and test run it a few times, you will see that the system prefer a certain number. I have written a simple software instructing system to show number between 0 to 9. To my surprise, it shows that the system prefers the number 4. Number 4 shows up more often than other number during several tests.
