All this while, Microsoft is a strong critic of open source software. They named open source software as evil and dangerous. Now their stance is totally different. It all started when Bill Hilf from IBM Corp. joined Microsoft three years ago. Microsoft now looks for ways to compete and to co-exist with these open source software rather than trying to bring them down. This may be good news to open source software users such as Linux. Who can ever think that Microsoft changes their stance so easily. Bill Gates must have realize that it is easier to co-exist rather than bringing them down. It profits both party. Soon we might be having Office that are compatible and runs on Linux. Looking ahead and broadening their market not only on Windows but also on other operating system making them more profitable and at the same time pleasing to the community.
