Looking at Pageflakes and My Yahoo Beta there is a considerable amount of similarities in them. The sharing and pages featured in My Yahoo Beta is similar to what Pageflakes has to offer. Maybe the reason behind all of it is that Pageflakes current CEO is the ex-boss of My Yahoo. The new my Yahoo steers users towards Yahoo and restricting access to Google and MySpace. What Yahoo is doing might not be a hit because users wants more choices in what they have. Steering users
towards Yahoo with the new Yahoo will make user abandon Yahoo in search of other alternative. This might bode well for Google and MySpace. But it might just be a Beta version for testing. The final release might not do this. There are bound to be numerous comments and feedback from users about this new service. The only thing we can hope is for Yahoo to listen and change their stance.
