Keeping up with the latest technology the industry has to offer and making use of the bandwidth of the internet, Sony is planning to launch its ambitious plan of PlayStation Home Online service. The initial download file is at 500 MB. Subsequent
patches will most probably be integrated via streaming and auto updates. Between April to August, they will be taking in about 15,000 beta testers with the number expected to increase to about 50,000 between August to October. This will definitely be good news to PlayStation users who have waited so long for this service. Rumours had came in since last year regarding this new service but nothing to be confirm yet. Sony latest offering of PlayStation 3 is not making up to its mark in sales comparing to PlayStation 2 which is a hit worldwide. Facing increasing competition from Xbox 360, this might be the way Sony is planning to gain back its market share.
