An article in Wall Street Journal confirms that topix.net has bought the domain name topix.com for $1 million. Topix.com is originally owned by a Canadian computer graphics and animation facility that specializes in character animation and originally registered in 1995. Terms of the deal however are not available. This just show how a good domain name is important. It ranks you up in search engine search and drive more traffic to your site. Only topix.net has bought the domain name topix.com before it was registered by other company they will not have to spend such an amount of money today. But it is still not too late for them to buy the domain name. It is better late than never. Topix.net will hope to see and increase in site traffic and reduce in search engine traffic. Initially topix.com is available from a South Korean squatter for just $800 but they did not buy it that time.
