Microsoft latest security software Microsoft's Live OneCare has failed tests which check how well it spots and stops malicious programs designed to attack Windows. It is the only failure among 17 antivirus software that are tested. The result is really bad for Microsoft’s Live OneCare. It only spotted 82.4% of the 500,000 viruses it was subjected to. A second failure in less than a month will really hit them hard. What more to say that it is the only failure among all the software tested. A company with resources and expertise such as Microsoft should not be failing in this way. It might be forgivable if the software spotted 95% of the viruses it is subjected to but just 82.4% I doubt anyone is going to use it. Till Microsoft make a major overhaul of its software I do not see a point for anyone to use this software for the moment.
