Web base operating system?

It looks like everything is moving web base. Starting off with Google App, Microsoft and Adobe are also pursuing this market. Now even operating system are doing so. There is this nifty little application they call “OS layer technology” which enables user to log into their favourite operating system. Soon there might no longer be a need for big capacity harddrives. A meer 10 MB will do it. Just a simple software in your system to log you on to your favourite operating system online. All data will be stored in a web base server. User will not have to worry about harddrive failure etc. with internet bandwidth getting larger and larger all these seems very possible in the near future. It will revolutionize how computer do stuff. No more installing software as everything will be made readily available online. Just purchase the licence and have fun.
