419 Scam About a 419 Scam?

Well, this doesn't qualify as a "Threat Thursday" post, but I still thought it worthy of a note.  I just received some 419 spam that takes the approach that they are offering compensation in response to people who have been victimized by 419 scammers.  So, now the pot is calling the kettle black...pot_calls_kettle_black.bmp

The message from the venerable Mr. Francis Nolan, delegate of the United Nations to [the] Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Abuja, is offering individual payments of $5,500,000 to 100 victims because Nigeria wishes to restore the country's image that has been so tarnished by the 419 scammers.  I must admit this is different than the usual approach that the son/daughter of some government hanger-on needs my help to get their family fortune out of Cote d'Ivore.

While I appreciate the attention, I think I'll have to give this a pass.  At least it wasn't written all in caps, but the spelling is still pretty bad; you'd think they would at least do a spell check once in a while.  I shouldn't have to remind everyone of this, but as always, never give out the type of information that is usually requested.
